The building will be the flagship for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and will feature indoor and outdoor gathering spaces to maximize student and faculty’s relationship to one another, the university, and the surrounding community.
The U-shaped building’s major landscape feature is a terraced amphitheater that surrounds a flexible green space for informal gatherings, outdoor movies, or events.
WRT worked with architect WRNS Studio on the landscape. The site is designed to become part of a greenway network that extends from the central quad out to the native oak woodlands that border the campus.
